I was interested in katrina's comment about sickle sections. How many others use the web to shop and which sites?
I know we have got a lot of solar equipment off ebay and built our own water pumps and fencers. In the last two weeks, I have saved well over $1500 using kijiji to find and buy slip tanks/pumps and I just picked up $1400 worth of electric fencing material for $700. All the stuff was picked up within 1/2 hour of home.
We even sourced out our calf cradle online, and have been looking at stock trailers and balers.
We also use the web to price compare before we go out.
Anyone else?

I also have used kijiji to buy various things and have several friends who sell stuff on kijiji. The last purchase on kijiji was only 10 minutes from home for a bobcat fork attachment. I have a bit of an advantage living close to a million plus people. Books from Chapters and stuff that can't be purchased in Canada can be bought online and sent up here.

My sons use Ebay quite a bit for a wide range of items - tools to toys.

The middle son, one of two electricians, has bought a pile of tools for both the boss and their crew.

For example, complete hydraulic knockout sets for not much over half price, some new or barely used. Shipped right to our door, at that. Makes me wonder at times what the story is behind it.

I got my wife off the net. So, you can find some good things on the net. I use John Deere Parts whenever I have something other than the usual to order. Being 150 miles from a dealer it helps eliminate mistakes. I have tried after market cutting parts and have found nothing compares in the wear department then the real McCoy. I have bought disc parts and a radiator for a tractor off the net and have been more than happy. I buy equipment off of Craig's List. Found a header for my swather for $800 last summer. Lots of good buys there from the folks who are giving up.

Here there is a site called K Bid that has different stuff but alot of farm equipment. There are some deals on there at times..
