I have been absent these last few weeks from Ct and Ranchers as we had hubbies family over from Europe for a month. 8)
We also did a bit of renovations. After wanting to do this for 7 years we finally did it. We ripped out the old deck around the house and replaced it, as well as built on a new huge deck on the east side of the house. The contractor took 2 weeks longer than we were told so it was very frustrating having a mess while company was here. We also finally got our hay off and had the best crop ever since we bought the place. It made up for the drought from last year and I will have hay to hoard for emergencies.

Celebrated with a deck party and about 40 friends, I served prime rib and pulled pork as well as a Keg on hand . was a really nice evening and some guests stayed overnight so I did a midnight lunch and then made everyone brunch in the morning. It was a great way to break the new deck in.

A few more things need to be done, like the new fence put up, stain the deck and the new custom french doors still need to be installed, so it is going to be a busy summer and fall still.

Wow!! What a beautiful place you have. That was a lot of work to make it into what you have.

Just a couple of juxtapositions that kind jump out at ya - Bell Expressview on a log house, I don't think Hank done it that way.: lol: And another - I wanna turn lawn into pasture, I'm getting tired of cutting it all since the kids aren't around to do it so much . . .

You done good!

That is a very nice job HD. All the hard work melted the snow on the before picture. :-) I hope the summer long company got to enjoy it a little bit.

Burnt that is the only place we can mount it and get reception , if we did not have a dish we would not even have peasant vision even though we live 15 minutes from a major city we have nothing here. I have to use expensive highspeed wireless for my computer too and sometime there is no signal either .

Thanks everyone .. :)
