Minature Longhorns as an investment

Well if they are selling those cattle for those prices you might want to get involved  If a person can't make money on those cattle at those prices they're doing something wrong

edit:
Probably like other fad animals though, by the time a person gets into it the money is gone

A buddy of mine got into the ostrich craze 20 years ago. He paid good money for two pairs. Trouble was ostrich burgers never took off and the only folks who made money were the folks selling breeding stock to the folks who had no market for ostrich. It was worth it though. Those big old birds got loose one day and I got to witness my buddy chasing them down the road mounted on a mean red roan mule. Apparently a little known fact about ostriches is that they severly dislike mules and if they could'a been flying they would have. :D That old roan mule didnt care much for giant flightless birds either as every time Scott would get close enough to head off the birds, he'd swap directions and attempt to head for home. I would of got out and helped but it is tough to do that when you are laughing hysterically while laying on the ground. Moral of the story is this..... Buy into that mini-me longhorn ranch only with the condition you get to buy Scott's mule for roundup time.

She just wanted me to partner with her on the bull...a USED bull...the one pictured that was white with red down his back...$2200...I think I scared
her off...

(the other young black and white one was only $2000)...in case anyone is interested...

I did tell her that if I owned them, they'd be for sale too... :?

I'd put my money in an envelope in the safe it at least will stay put and not lose too much value.

I think this is a better investment for you FH. :P
