For 30 years I have been farming my land now some young buck tell me I need some software to keep track of everything. I search the web and found all kinds of software but don't know if any of them are any good. Most of the folks around here don't care much about computers and so they are no help can anyone tell their feelings about, Farmworks, Aglink, ScoringAg, Cattlemans, And FarmProSoft.

Say Dag, www.ScoringAg.com offers paper records if you don't have a computer and it does records from Field to Fork. here is the lastest news from the ScoringAg software company.

Dear Members and new members,
As you know we just added a new soil test location records to our database. Users enjoy the possibility to enter the data now in the winter time when no one is busy working out in the fields. Having the data ready before the next planting time saves time and money when working with your ag consultant.

At the same time we received our patent pending application for our database System and method for site-specific electronic record keeping, 2 more companies offering databases for a type of cattle tracing left the market:

2/9/2007 The U.S. Animal Identification Organization database has been suspended for lack of interest and financing, said the group's chairman Charles Miller. The original idea for the USAIO came from the National Cattlemen's Beef Association.

Feb 14 (Reuters) - EMerge Interactive Inc. said it filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and terminated a merger agreement with Prime BioSolutions LLC. They have to sell off assets within 45days.

People can also become infected with Salmonella if they handle or ingest this cat food, touch pets that consumed the food, or touch any surfaces that came into contact with the food or pets. http://www.infozine.com/news/stories/op/storiesView/sid/21002/

Too bad these companies didn't have ScoringAg traceback system. There is no excuse for 288 sick people and uncounted cats. As the FDA is involved now it gets costly for these companies. Talk to your customers to set up ScoringAg traceback system for their products before they get in trouble too.

FDA' started mid of this month a Pilot Program to Better Educate Consumers about Recalled Food Products. Here is the link to learn more about the Pilot Project: http://www.fda.gov/oc/po/firmrecalls/pilot.html

We just found out ScoringAg traceback system is featured at the official Website of ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA BUREAU OF STANDARDS

more press coverage for ScoringAg:
US: Realtime Traceback has stopped bioterrorism for produce containers
FreshPlaza - Netherlands
Lowering high insurance deductibles by having a traceback system in place is good common sense. The report emphasizes the value of increased vigilance ...

One of our customers informs his customers he is using ScoringAg as their traceback system. You can order great products direct from his website and enjoy the recipes. http://www.wheatandgrain.com/index.html

ScoringAg participated very successfully in a pilot project with WILC Wisconsin Livestock Consortium for a veal traceback system from birth to slaughter. All 488 calves could be read with the new I.D.ology reader direct into ScoringAg database at the veal farm. 2 Eartags failed to read. The time used was only 45 minutes. They were shipped on Sunday evening with temperatures below zero. The records were move to trucking and after a long ride to South Chicago, the records were moved out to the packer, and then were moved in their ScoringAg database with 100% success. The system includes carcass grading and weights.

ScoringAg proves again the database works at the speed of commerce.

No stockyard or feedlot can use a system that's less then 100%.

We have good news from the Secretary of Agriculture Kevin Kirk, State of Michigan:

ScoringAg's database will be participating in the Michigan Mandatory ID System. Because of the TB problem in Michigan all cattle movements have to be recorded and reported. The RFID tag number and premise code with date and time is needed by the Michigan department of agriculture.

In ScoringAg database RFID Tags can be entered manually or electronically (batch uploads).

With I.D.ology's new reader you'll get a 100% read of the RFID tags and an automatic upload into our web based account.

• ScoringAg.com compliments and automates electronic individual animal record-keeping (cow/calf,dairy, stocker, feedlot,breeding)

• ScoringAg.com satisfies requirements for unique identification needed for age and process verification programs too.

An TCPIP exporting tool for the customer allows sending the encrypted data to the State of Michigan database for RFIDtag no. premises code and date and time stamp of bovine movements to stop TB.Also another new import tool will let FarmWorks software owners upload data into ScoringAg for the FDA Bioterrorism Law.

Is that some sort of threat?

In case you haven't noticed the several posts from others besides myself, your self promotion and advertising is long past being old. I wouldn't use ScoringAg.com because of that and some of the comments you have made. I have my doubts if security of information would be a high priority.

Whether you realize it or not you have pissed on a few to many beef producers toes who are one way or another part of the decision making process up here. If your companies name comes up in discussion we will be more than happy to tell folks how scoringag conducts business.

Oh and by the way, talking to yourself isn't really that healthy or a good indicator of mental stability.

Here it is I am a turf grower in Northeast Florida growing Fla-Tam and Fla-Teen but because I do often grow feed grass on my farms I have been told that I need computer records for tracking. Now I don't know much about computers, my son who lives in south fla, set this thing up to go through his companies server and all I know is that if you ask a question in the google thing it gives you some sites to see. I ask about farming software advise it told me to come here, well I sorry to say I have not gotten any advice but one from someone called Porker telling me about Scoringag which was one of many that I was told about by google. personally this all seems to be a waste of my time and as far as I am consern I guess I will pay some college brat to do something to make the county agent happy.
