So ANN- tell me who is an American... Is someone that deserts/leaves their country for better pickings- for whatever reason ( A sugar daddy situation ?) a better American than one that stays here and works to make the country better- or one that comes here for the American dream

Ann- are you a Idonesian or US citizen To me the dual citizenship is one of the things the country needs to get rid of- same as anchor babies...If you leave the country to live in another country- you should have to give up ALL citizenship rights......

Should you have the same or as much US citizen rights as the Native Americans that were here long before your forefathers- or after deserting the country- as much as the descendants of the black and colored slaves that were brought here in the 1700/1800's...
Not to me.. I'm a firm believer in Love it or Leave It with this country-- and once you voluntarily leave the country after reaching majority age- to live in another country you should have to give up any US citizenship/rights.....

...

Oldtimer when you made this comment I thought you were taking another swipe at me but after reading it again I have to wonder if you maybe were talking about Obama's mother. :?

She was an American citizen who left the US after the age of majority to live in Indonesia with her Sugar Daddy and enrolled her son in a school that only admitted Indonesia citizens.

So in all fairness and not the double standard crap we have been witnessing from you, your little speech about having to give up your US citizenship should go for her too SHOULD IT?

As if it does then I would have to say Obama was born to a British Citizen, a native of KENYA, FATHER and a US citizen mother who was to young to pass her own citizenship on to him at the time of his birth , that according to you freely gave up her citizenship and all rights to US citizenship after he was born by moving to a foreign country to live with her SUGAR DADDY. Obama was then adopted by her Sugar Daddy making him a citizen of Indonesia so he could attend school there. That makes TWO FOREIGN FATHERS.

SO tell us again how, in your mind, he qualifies to be the US President? :?

and in OT's logic.. a foreign mother.. does that make Barry an anchor baby? cause he sure is dragging US down..

It must kill CBS and the New York Times to put out a poll with results like that considering how in the bag they are for all liberal causes.

ICE agency report puts serious dent in Eric Holder's DOJ case against sheriff Joe Arpaio
Posted by Robert BlainFeatured NewsMonday, September 6th, 2010

On Thursday Eric Holder and the Department of Justice filed suit against Arizona's Maricopa County Sheriff's office run by the outspoken and flamboyant Joe Arpaio who's made it a personal crusade to uphold U.S. immigrations laws when the feds won't.

Eric Holder and the Obama Administration are applying the full weight of the federal government's resources into trying to stop the new Arizona immigration law, but that's only one of the multi-front attacks they've setup to make sure states are stripped of their ability to enforce U.S. immigration laws. Now the DOJ is suing the most active and largest sheriff's office in Arizona (Sheriff Joe Arpaio's office has 189 officers) by extending an investigation into alleged civil rights violations.

Back in March of 2009 the DOJ informed sheriff Arpaio that a probe was underway to investigate what the DOJ claimed were "alleged patterns or practices of discriminatory police practices and unconstitutional searches and seizures." This is where things get sticky for Eric Holder and the Obama Administration.

Six months prior to this investigation the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency (ICE) had already conducted its own investigation of sheriff Arpaio's office and not only gave it a clean bill of health, they actually gave a raving review. The report said things like "The OI and DRO supervisors consider the conduct and performance of the MCSO … officers to be professional and meeting the requirement of the MOA." And that they considered the working relationship between the feds and the sheriff's office to be "excellent" and that cases brought by the sheriff's office to be "high quality."

The DOJ then got caught with its pants down when more government documents were uncovered under the Freedom of Information Act that suggests politics may be at the root of the investigation. Sheriff Arpaio's lawyers found a March 11, 09 e-mail, that was sent just after the Justice Department investigation was announced, from an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency employee to John P. Torres who was at the time the acting assistant secretary of ICE. The email said: "Did you see this?" attaching a news report on the investigation. "Yes," Torres responded a few minutes later. "Interesting politics at play."

Thursday's DOJ lawsuit against sheriff Arpaio is for Arpaio's allegedly failing to cooperate fully in the probe, despite the fact there has already been an ongoing probe for over a year and a half now and not a single charge has been levied against Arapio or his office by the DOJ for violating anyone's civil rights.

With the new evidence found in the case by Arpaio's lawyers including the Immigration and Customs Enforcement's raving reviews, emails hinting at this being a politically motivated case and the fact a year and a half investigation has not found one civil rights violation, Eric Holder and the Obama Administration appear to be legally and politically in trouble again.

Oldtimer Do you have anything more recent than this Sept 2010 article about the investigation resulting from the thousands of complaint the DOJ recieved? If not then I would say it was a POLITICAL WITCH HUNT that went bad since Sheriff Joe is still investigating cases, namely the Obama Birth Certificate FORGERY case.

Rush Limbaugh should be fired, 53 percent say in new poll

Reuters
By TIM MAK | 3/14/12 6:38 AM EDT
A majority of Americans — 53 percent — say conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh should be fired for calling a Georgetown Law School a "slut," according to a wide-ranging new survey on contraception.

Almost one-third of Republicans — 30 percent — agree with the notion that Limbaugh should be canned for his remarks, the Bloomberg poll showed Wednesday.

Men are split over whether Limbaugh should be axed — 49 percent say yes, while 47 percent disagree. Fifty-six percent of women support firing him, compared with 39 percent who do not.

Meanwhile, more than three-quarters of Americans believe that the issue of birth control shouldn't even be a topic of debate right now.

Indeed, 77 percent said that the national political debate shouldn't involve contraception, while 20 percent said it should.

Americans also view the controversy over the Obama administration's rule that employers must provide birth control coverage in employee health care plans as an issue of women's health rather than religious freedom.

In fact, 62 percent of respondents said that the issue is one of women's health access rather than religious freedom, the opposite of what Republican presidential candidates have argued.

Despite the furor of the past weeks over female birth control, it appears as though Republicans may have narrowed the gap with Democrats among women, according to Bloomberg.

Mitt Romney, the front-runner in delegates for the Republican presidential primary, received 45 percent support from women, compared with 49 percent for President Barack Obama.

The poll also shows Obama leading former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum among women by 9 percentage points, 51 percent to 42 percent.

In contrast to both cases, Obama beat former GOP presidential nominee Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) among females by 13 percentage points in the 2008 election, 56 percent to 43 percent.

Approval ratings among women for the Democratic and Republican parties are not wildly different — 49 percent of women view the Democratic Party favorably, 42 percent view it unfavorably; 44 percent view the GOP favorably and 48 percent see it unfavorably.

The Bloomberg national poll involved a sample of 1,002 respondents and was conducted March 8-11. The margin of error is plus or minus 3.1 percentage points.

Oldtimer were you posting polls about the treatment Sarah Palin recieved from Maher, Letterman, Stewart and other LIBERAL Shock Jocks and how they should be fired or were you laughing and agreeing with their filth? :?
Don't bother answering because we all know what kind of a HYPOCRITE YOU ARE

AGAIN

New polling released by New York Times/CBS finds Americans strongly oppose the new HHS mandate and favor a broad exemption for religious groups and employers who do not want to pay for birth control drugs or drugs that may cause abortions.

The new survey reveals that, by a 50-41 percentage point margin, Americans say all employers should not have to cover birth control or potentially abortion-causing drugs while a larger 57-36 percentage point margin say religious employers should not be forced to provide coverage.

When asked "Should health insurance plans for all employees have to cover the full cost of birth control for female employees or should employers be able to opt out for moral or religious reasons?" even women favor the opt-out on a 46-44 percent plurality. That margin for women increased to a 53-38 margin for "religiously affiliated employers, such as a hospital or university."

Men favored opting out by a 20 point margin (57 vs. 37), and that percentage jumped to a 25-point spread for an opt out when religious employers were mentioned.

Just because you wish the birth control issue isn't harming Obama doesn't seem to mean a MAJORITY support it. But then you bragged about Obamacare and it cost the Dems the control they had on Congress because they FORCED that unwanted bill. Let's hope Obama's mandate on Birth Control has the same affect as Obamacare did.

Probably the reason no one got very excited when someone called Palin a name...Words like whore, slut, pimp fit most politicians (male or female) quite well......

The problem is- the young lady that Rush slurred and slandered was not a professional politician- and was at the time just a witness that had been called to testify before Congress... Altho- with the publicity Rush has given her- I'm sure we will be seeing her in the political realm soon...

She's been an activist for years and if she was a conservative that Boehner set up a press conference for, you'd be calling her a "whore", like you do all the time.

What Rush called her was not right, but that still does not excuse the hypocrisy that the left is showing on this.

Is the Rev. and Schultz still on MSNBC?

should they have been fired for some of the things they have said about women and specific races of people?

should you be censored for making false accusations and calling people "whore" quite often right here on Ranchers?

Heck you haven't even apologized for your accusations and referring to people as those that take money for sex.

Lot of difference between being politically active on an issue/ an activist and being a paid politician doing your decision making on who stuffs your pockets the deepest...
Many that testify before Congress are activists on the issues- either pro or con...That is the reason they are called to testify on their knowledge...

YOU are an Activist....What else that makes you is up to you to decide :???:

Jesus, you just don't get it, do you, Old Mullah? Fluke never testified before Congress, Pisslosi STAGED the event to make it LOOK like it was a Congressional hearing. Fluke was blackballed from testifying, because she had neither the required expertise or any other credentials to warrant her testimony. Make no mistake, she (Fluke) is on SOMEBODY's payroll. She only attends school at Georgetown to raise hell about the BC issue, she has admitted.

Get your head out of the bottle and get your facts straight.
