Rod,
I literally laughed out loud when you said your packer and retail profit example was a phenominal success. Hahaha!
You think that jut because I didn't keep bringing more examples of expenses for you to shave THEY DON'T EXIST???? LOL!
I just give you the examples that I thought of that I knew THAT YOU MISSED. I didn't say I knew all of the expenses but I obviously know a hell of a lot more about it than you do.
The simple fact that you didn't even know enough to subtract out the bone and fat on the carcass proves you're entire theory is based on nothing more than speculation and ignorance. I shouldn't have even went beyond that with you.
You missed so much more than the fat and bone.
You missed the fact that a lot of beef is sold at "featured prices" because retailers sell it or they smell it. What's not sold by expiration date is discarded.
What about shink? Did you figure shrink? HECK NO YOU DIDN'T!
Want to know the value of water in meat, go price some beef jerky.
Did you figure trim? NO YOU MISSED THAT TOO!!!
You don't have a clue about packer and retail profits. NOT A CLUE!
You made the same mistake that all shallow observation packer blaming number crunchers make. You think every pound of the carcass was priced the same as your retail example. Your numbers were a joke!
Randy Kaiser,
One question:
1. What did Tyson and Cargill make in Canada on a per head basis during this SO CALLED "Salmon run"?
Very simple question, can you answer it honestly or will you do the Sandbag shuffle?
~SH~
