Where is it raining?

Well over an inch this morning in less than an hour. Now the sun is out and the wind is howling, so maybe by tonight I won't need 4WD to get to the house.

SE Montana is floating. Some of our customers that live near a larger
creek have had to leave their places. Roads are washed out in many areas.
It's a mess.

Big tanks that hold oil are floating down the Missouri River by
Marmarth, ND.

Someone told me to go to Facebook and type in Bowman County, ND.
I'm not a very good navigator on facebook, but I did find some
pictures of the flooding. I can't post a link, because when I tried,
it also linked to someone's facebook page.

How can I post a link without linking to a person's page/

We've had less than one inch since last August, so let her rip if you will please send it this way. Now fire is my biggest fear.

Be careful what you wish for. We complained about shortness of spring rains last year.

snow above 7500 feet today to add to the feet of snow still up there, over a inch and half of rain today plus snow melt would say the old salt river is a 1/2 mile across as it leaves my place

The railroad line west of Miles is all closed-- mudslides and washed out track....Shuts down all the coal going to the industries in the east...

The northern rail line is slowed greatly by the flooding in the Dakotas- and close to closing if the Mouse River gets any higher in Minot- besides the flooding in the Devils Lake and other floodings....

I was talking to my Elevator guy today-- and they can't get any grain out... Rails both ways are about to just all wash away....

Rain needs to quit- and return about the last of June or 4th of July...Nothing seeded after June 5 up here can't be put under federal crop insurance..And there is lots up here will be lucky to be uncovered by flood waters by June 5th.....

Pouring AGAIN. Supposed to have another 2+ inches by morning, plus what we had this morning, PLUS the 4-6 inches we had last week.

ARRRRRRRGGGGGHHHH!

Talked to a friend south of Baker, he said they have gotten 6.75"
of rain this last week. The road from Alzada to Ekalaka might be
closed due to Boxelder Creek running over it's banks.

You all who get a lot of rain, this might not sound like all that much,
but our year moisture is like 13"; so for SE Montana, 7" is a bunch!!
And especially so on gumbo ground!

wwwooohhhoooooo we got maybe 2 mins of HAIL yesterday. Watched a couple torandos start to form then go back up ...THEN the wind came. Dust devils and a fire east of Texline. All of this took place in 10 mins ......
We NEED rain the hail was nice but it didnt even wet the top inch of soil.

NM did you lose power yesterday about 5? We did at the prison and I know Texline did...had to reset stove clock.

I am so sorry for all of yall flooding, I know we would take as much as you want to send our way.

Another 4 inches in the last 24 hours. Depending on just where you are, we have now received between 9 and 11 inches in the last 7 days. I'm more than willing to share.

No maam, no power outage here, just alot of hard wind. Im going to start wearing ear plugs to keep the sand out  one of my neighbors started sorting yesterday to start cutting numbers. This country does well on very little rain, but its time to get some.

We actually had a day without rain- and got to see the sun...But it sounds shortlived as they are predicting rain starting again tomorrow- and thru the holiday weekend....And it sounds like the heaviest (1-2") may occur south of the Missouri again in the areas flooding the worst...

Water is over our county roads again/still- and most the roads are barely travelable with even 4 wheel drive vehicles because of the washouts and ruts...

Going to be some folks putting bulls out later than usual just because they can't get thru with trailers to get the bulls to pasture...

I have not checked the rain gauge lately. We were excited to see the sunshine today! Last group of calves are branded and one group of cattle out to grass.

Huge storm came thru about 6:30 PM and then another about mid night - - - high winds, golf ball sized hail and almost 3" of rain between the two rains!

Beautiful morning so far - - but more rain forcast everyday.

Thick fog right on the ground and sprinkling again. The reciever for our dish died yesterday so we can't watch the weather on TV. I guess that may lower the depression level anyway.

Ya it really sucks when you can only watch the weather out your window . . . :?

Close to 3 inches since last night, still raining, heavy at times. Weather warning on the computer for the Chilcotin says we could get up to an inch between now and Friday morning. Haven't seen it this wet here for a LOOOOONNNNNG time. Creek is higher now than it has been lately. If it ever clears and warms the bugs are going to be happy.

No TV, can't call out on our sat phone to find out what is happening locally. Listening to the Quesnel FM radio on-line, Ranchers. Net, emails and a little spousal bonding is keeping us from cabin fever. Did get a call in a while ago so those of you who are bored might try to give a cheer up call. (hint hint)

Really coming down now, sure glad we got the last big bunch branded and turned out to fend for themselves yesterday, there would have been nowhere to feed them today. What is left are enjoying free choice at the bale feeders.
