    The wife asked me to mow the grass , I told her it was too high and we should let the sheep graze it . She said forge ahead.

    Tamarack, he is sired by EIONMOR HIGHLANDER 84W X- out of a SASKVALLEY BONANZA 219M cow. Sometimes we will put an electric fence around a water source to prevent them from going down in the fall.

    Pictures around here this winter.

    The snow is getting a bit too crusty for the cows to get enough water, so we have been cutting holes in the dam for water. Might need to get an extension on the auger, only have 6 inches left. Some Shorthorn X Red Angus heifers. Got one sale bull kind of "prettied" up.

    Tire Tank

    We use a copper pipe and put it along side the inlet hose that is froze and use a funnel on the top end and poor boiling water down it. Cuts the ice pretty good.

    the temp was around -20 C when I took the picture. wind is blowing out there now it is - 40 windchill suppose to be -50 by morning. We have been seeing sun dogs for the last couple months and I think we will be seeing them for a least another 3.

    Last week we moved some cows to a new pasture. The pasture is nice and lush , had to treat 2 cows for Acute Bovine Pulmonary Edema, http://www.thebeefsite.com/diseaseinfo/213/fog-fever . A neighbor took this neat picture.
