Don't tell me the R-Calf office (406)252-2516, is blocking the calls from your bank!

Maybe try your cell.

If I can find a place to feed today where the wind won't blow the hay away I may just hiberate the rest of the day--winds already blowing 30-40mph and they are predicting 60-70 possible by this afternoon...

Oldtimer, you better hope no cows blow across the border today,
hang on to your hat
Ben Roberts said:Sandhusker,in this post i'm not commenting on what I think, only on what you said. And as far as intent goes, we can take that subject into eternity with (you said, he said, she said,) the fact is it happened and the responsibility for their action is still theirs. Looks to me like R-Calf is the one here that is not informed. I live with the philosophy of (if you don't want to go to Chicago, don't get on that train).

Ben Roberts said:Sandhusker, I'll ask you a hypothetical question.
If, R-Calf was informed ahead of time, that the suit they filed, carried a $30.00 per head tariff,if and when they would be successful in their suit. R-Calf would have then said NO,we don't want to file the suit.

Cattle producers today are not consensus of the chains that bind them.
Bill said:Thanks Sandy for posting your information. No doubt Sandhusker or another of the Klanners will try discredit or twist that as well.
Well Sandhusker, it looks like my statements you scoffed at weren't so far off after all?  Maybe the girls did get through to the R-Klan office and you simply didn't like what they found out for you.
Yes I did get something from the AFF today and I'll post it just for you and your leftist, protectionist friends Sandhusker.
Sandhusker said:Well then, we just as well throw open our borders to Brazil, Argentina, Austrailia, whoever. After all, aren't we all in the cattle business for the same reasons? You think we ought to do that, Ben?
Come to think of it, aren't all the Mexicans and other Central Americans just trying to make a living for the same reasons we are? Why is there such a thing as illegal alien? We should just open up our border and holler, "Welcome Amigos!" We're all in this together, aren't we?

Sandhusker said:Ben, "The beef industry has become a global industry controlled by three multi-national packers. Tyson/IBP,Swift/Con-Agra and Cargill. "
I"ll agree with you 100% on that one. Part of their business plan is to arbitrage beef on a world-wide basis. Throwing open our doors facilitates that. You recognize the power of the packers, yet you advocate trade policies that play into their hands. Again I ask, do you think we should open up completely to the South Americans as well?
Sandy said her load was going to Dakota City. Guess who's plant that was?
