Actually, Hat, our beef is better than yours. Ask any of those high end restaurants who used to specialize in it. Or maybe ask any of those now shakey American packers who used to process it and pass it straight on to Japan.
The reason anyone up here would have opposed COOL in the past is because of fears it would lower the price paid for our beef because of the extra costs of segregating it in your country. NOT because we were afraid no one would want it. I guess worrying about lower prices is not an issue any more, so bring it on! We welcome it.
The way the talk in your country has been going about the integrity of the USDA lately, how much longer will that USDA stamp signify quality and safety? Your buddies in Montana seem to be working hard to make sure it won't be much longer.
