Vancouver Canucks "Stanley Cup Champions"

Yeah  playoff hockey isn't the same as the regular season. The flames are built for the playoffs. The other team that scares me is the avs if they get some goaltending they could be tough. Sorry but we'll see what the wild do when it gets tough and they cannot affored to dress goons who can't skate like boogart, fedoruk, and simon who take dumb penalties. Shawn be very scared of the avs they will bang the wild and hopefully the wild bang back so they will be easy pickings in the second round. I like the flames chance against the sharks as the sharks come in already banged up and will get pounded even more where as the flames stars are pretty healthy. Time will tell. Best of luck the wild are going to need it :P

After the kerfuffle over Koivu and the Shane Doan fiasco theres just NO way I can even watch the Habs let alone hope they go anywhere in the playoffs.....sad politics gets in the middle of this stuff but hey its happened and I can't get over it :?

If it ends up Calgary and the Habs....I'm pretty sure most of Canada will be behind the Flames.And I know then Shawn will be on my side{or else}

LOTS of good hockey before we even get to the finals though :D :D

MG koivu is still the captain but not the key piece he once was. Carboneau said others have played with worse foot injuries so it is up to Koivu. Do not underestimate the number of Hab fans. Of which i am not a fan but i do respect the team and the coaches just look at carboneau has done with what he has.

Yeah there is some great hockey to watch in the next few weeks. Alot of people were glad to see the tie game lastnight so we get the avs stead of the flames. I am not one of them, goodluck with sj.

I would love to see the wild or the wings win it all or at least go far, but it will be a great day if we can bring the cup back south of the border :D Now that oughta stir up the pot, lol have a great day shawn

Sorry the wings are walking wounded- draper out , lidstrom out just to mention a few not to mention they are one of the oldest teams in average age and while you do need vets to lead there is a difference from being old and being experienced. Chelios needs to quit the crap he started with CHI's sharp. He was an allstar and now just a joke as sad joke. Hey shawn the cup could go south if you have enough canadian born and trained players on the tean the ducks had the most in the league last year and what did they do?

They kept the cup on the correct side of the border the same as the previous 12 or 13 years. I think the last time it was north of the border was way back to the 93 montreal team, do not quote me my memory is good it is just real short. :D The trend has really changed since mid and late 80's, just about back to the days of the great Gretzky, who in my opinion made the game what it is today! exellent hockey player and a good guy. And yes he was a Canadian  Shawn

Calgary wins.....Kipersoff 1st star 2nd star Iginla
Pittsburg wins,Crosby no score but worked his butt off.

All is well in my hockey world tonight :)

And the Avs won, leadership at it's best Joe sure shows why he could play another 5 yrs. The Wild might make an early exit if Theodore plays this well every game, from what i saw and heard from the post game comments. Hard to beat any team with a hot goalie. Kipper was the same great game, the sharks knew they would be hit but not that hard or that many times. if the flames keep it up bye bye fishes. My kind of game hard hitting, fast, tough. It looks like the sens had a tough game but we will see how they respond roberts might just have helped them for the next game.

Kippersof was very impressive, My wild did not do very well  But the U.S.A. ladies did well they beat Canada 4 to 2 now they get to play them for the Gold.

Shawn now do you know why the flames might go to the cup. The wild goalie was good in the regular season but the playoffs are a totally different game. JT has shown he can steal a game if he keeps it up your wild could be in some trouble, just like i said before. Personally i think the wild should sit some of the tough guys and get some replacements that can do more than fight boogart should sit simon has the skill with the stick and the fists he can protect you stars and play policeman. but from what i see your wild need everyone pulling their weight to win and your big goons can run around trying to make big hits but it puts him out of position and hurts the rest of his team, they need more guys that can play the game tough not just try to intimidate. It is going to be a tough series, the avs have many warriors that can play tough ,smart hockey and take a regular shift. Best of luck.

Shawn...you went into OT,looks like you guys played pretty good, was flipping back and forth.Looks like a good series betweem AVS and Minn.
Kipper can stand on his head when hes hot and hes rarely not hot.

God Ottawa looked weak-Malone filled in Redden like he was a first year Bantam-there's a team needs a huge shakeup. Glad to see big Georges get a point. I e-mailed him when he left Edmonton and he sent all of us autographed pictues-pretty classy tough guy. Emily is kicking butt in our drasft here-her goalie got a shutout and Sakic and Avery both scored. She l;oaded up with Predators in the last rounds so if they upset she's lookin' good. Iginla and Phaneuf both had big games last night.

Calgary won only because of Kipersof, and they are in real trouble once san jose starts getting to the net.the last 2 minutes calgary barely hung on.....The wild should also win, they need to hit more, colorado's team is made of glass.Plus both Gaborik and Demtria both held to one shot each, once they find the touch look out...I like the rangers chances,i know the sexy pick is pittsburg but I think the rangers goaltending is to good..I like san jose vs rangers foe the final...

The last two minutes there were six men on the ice, they puled thier goalie. Although Kipper played GREAT....you can't deny Iginla and phanuef were exceptional last night.
