Weather

We are grabbing our butts and holding on down here. The weather is suppose to bring 2 to 3 feet in our area in the next 4 days. Guess I am going to have to start feeding hay :?

It was -6F here yesterday at 6:30am and it was -3F this morning and snowing.

Gotta go feed the stock because hubby is gone, but I picked up a stomach bug, so it should an interesting morning.

I'm going to try and bale some hay today wish me luck. It's cold enough I can walk on water now.

Was up at 3:30 this morning to start the light plant and plug in the tractor as we have a load of hay to unload. 5 hours with two magnetic heaters and the block heater and this POS 6410 is still on strike. It has warmed up to -20 now.

Yeah 8 Below yesterday-- but about 8 above this morning, altho its snowing more....Been so busy getting everyone elses calves shipped- I still don't have my cows moved off the north fall pasture and down onto the hay meadows- so I hope it doesn't snow too much...We've got a couple of inchs of snow on the ground- and they are predicting another 4-8 inches...

Weather boys are predicting 20 Below for Tuesday night--but then predicting back up into the 20's by Turkey Day and a few days of 30 degree weather after that...

These bad road conditions are putting a crimp on everyone wanting to head to Missoula for the Cat/Griz game....

Well there's a first for everything... I'm in the tropics here, 45 degrees and no wind :P :D .

It's gonna change though, highs in single digits by mid-week. I plan to feed my first flake of hay Monday. No complaints after last year though  .

I lost a wisdom tooth yesterday but now I think I am losing my mind.

you are not alone. :)

From personal experience it gets better when it is gone completely. :D

Heard on the news this morning that parts of northern California got a big dump of snow, maybe when BBRoo gets shoveled out he will let us know.
Alberta and Saskatchewan sound ugly too.
Hay truck is unloaded and gone.

60 mph wind here with snow coming tonight. Although if the wind doesnt stop it may snow here and end up around Sonora! I hauled 2 young bulls to Delta to be fed and brought home a cow for the neighbor that summered with ours. I got 1 MPG going south and 712 coming back north. :D Hope ya'll stay safe.

Better than a foot of snow and cold here on the flats and about 6 inches in the hills. The coldest low in the last week was only-30 and we have been up to -12. Could be worse. My winter program would not work all that good with all those 3 foot dumps with out a Chinook or two.

We drove back from SD and the worst was north of Alzada where the
snow was blowing across the road. The rest of the way wasn't good, but
it wasn't bad. It's 13 degrees here and WINDY. YUK. Will I ever be
ready for this????????????

It was 54 degrees in SD Thursday evening. What a change!

Its been snowing here since last night. Starting to look a lot like winter. Got the last of the stock tank heaters today and the last summer water tank drained Thursday. I had some more posts I wanted to get set but it looks like they will have to wait until spring now with several days of below 0 temps forecast. :(
If we can make it to Thanksgiving without much winter we are doing pretty good.

Yeah still snowing here- and after all last nights snow and todays we must have about 6 inches on the level.....A lot of this is blowing-- and some areas are plumb clear- and 2 foot deep drifts in other areas...
North south highways have pretty well blown clear except on the bridges and coulee areas....

I checked the cows- and they still have a lot of grass thats blown clear- and have a spring on the creek still open they're getting water from...

Right now, I would take the blizzards if they gave us the snow. Here in the Peace Country we have less than an inch of the stuff after severe drought for a couple years now. Into the -20s (below 0F). Forcast for 30% chance of flurries tonight and no more precipitation for the rest of the 7 day forcast. Send it up here! We'd be thankful for it!
