I also have the right not to vote. I will be voting in my state and local elections.

fff, "I'm guessing you voted for Bush....so why now the refusal to vote for someone who lies????? Ya done it once already I'm guessing."

Good thing you didn't bet on your guess. I've never voted for him - never will.

Why do you have so little regard for the truth? I can't believe that I have to defend honesty. I'm sorry, but this shows just how screwed up liberals are if it comes down to "Who cares if we can't believe a thing our leaders say".

No wonder you're pizzed.

You can't even argue with the right person!!!!!!

Yepper....you're a Rep. Aim in one direction....hit something else!!

If that's the best thing you can gig me on........ hey, you've got me. I guess it's the small victories, eh?

I didn't say those things. That was 'raven. But I can't believe you voted for Kerry?????

I have respect for the truth. It pisses me off when Hillary twists the truth. But I don't think she's any worse than any other politician. They'll all twist facts to make themselves look a little better to the voters. I think Obama is just now learning that hard truth. Hillary has been in politics most of her life, she's been a staple for the Republicans to bash for years, yet she hangs in there and says her piece. I have respect for that. If she slips up with the facts a bit on the campaign trail, I can live with that. If you expect a candidate (and a large staff) that will be honest and factual about every item, I believe it will be a while before you get a chance to vote for President. They're human beings. Both Democratic candidates are smart people who can learn from their mistakes. Bush apparently isn't. So far, I don't see much out of John straight talker McCain that sets him apart from Bush in intelligence or policy. With all due respect, being a Vietnam POW doesn't qualify you for President. We'll see how his record in the Senate plays out as qualifications. Could he possibly have supported something in the Senate before he opposed it? Flip flop? He's already said he wants to stay in Iraq and doesn't know much about domestic issues. Both those things disqualify him in my mind.

I didn't vote for Kerrey, either. He was a bigger idiot than Bush.

Hillary doesn't "twist the truth", she bold face lies. Lies as in plural. That can't be excused no matter who else lies, because if you accept hers, you have to accept the others. There's no flipping way you can point at Bush and holler "liar" while you're supporting Hillary - that makes you a hipocrite.

How can you say Hillary is smart enough to learn from her mistakes? How many lies as she told - and yet she keeps on lying!

You didn't vote for Bush....you didn't vote for Kerry...so this " not voting" thing is a routine with you.

Then if you WON'T vote ...then you have no right to pizz & moan!

Where did I say that I didn't vote?

I would love to vote for a presidential candidate that I actually felt was going to do good things for this country. Last year was a proven dumb-ass or a liberal idiot. This year will be a moderate liberal or a socialist - that is no choice for a conservative.

Welll...then who did you vote for?

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm, it wasn't Bush....it wasn't Kerry.....Nader maybe?

Come on...tell us so we can sleep tonite!!!!!!!!

Yes it was. It wasn't because I necessarily wanted him to be President, although he couldn't of been worse, I was hoping to send a message to the bozo parties that I'm not going to vote for their bozos. If more people did that, they MIGHT get the message.

And Republican presidential candidate John McCain co-authored the last immigration reform bill in Congress.
And has promised to continue the borrow and spend policies of the Bush administration.

Has your "visionary" explained how he is going to pay for his proposed programs without borrowing and spending?
Chances are, NOT spending any more in the middle east will be a start, won't it? Bring home some of the industries that were given tax credits for moving offshore will help, cutting out the subsidies for the oil industry might help, securing the borders and minimizing the illegals in this country will help.

And YOUR visionary, Mr McCain, has opinions about all this.....and a really short answer.....stay in Iraq for a hundred years, and do the failed bush economic plan all over again.

Where did I ever express any support for McCain? Didn't I say I might not vote? Didn't I say the only choices this year was a moderate liberal and a socialist, which was not a choice?

Perhaps if you took a reading comprehension course, you might understand what you read and would stop being a liberal.....

Chances are..... Obama hasn't said how he will pay for it. He's just pouring Koolaid now and you're lapping it up.

2. $2.2 Billion dollars a year is spent on food assistance programs such as food stamps, WIC, and free school lunches for illegal aliens.

Ok I can see the food stamps to a point being an issue. Honestly though even if the child was illegal could any of you stand them to be hungry? Children are innocent. So what if we are paying for some free lunches for school age kids and some formula and milk for toddlers. I'd rather be doing that then them going hungry.

Quick count. 35 Democrats and 10 Republicans.
What does that tell you?

It tells me we have 10 bad ones.

Someone a few posts up wants to bring industry back to the U.S. The Demo tree huggers drove it out with unrealistic legislation. If nothing else just have the tree huggers loosen up on the sulphur content for diesel fuel just a little bit so that we can get it down close to gasoline prices again. Just put a reasonable limitation. Those Demos can fly their jets and drive solar powered cars, but some of us need to pull trailers and work for a living.

You ' teasing' with your vote.

From what you say of your past voting record you should stay at home cause you seem to do more damage WITH your vote than you do sitting on the side and crying about it all.

Give me a break.....

Don't be ridiculous. The single largest cost to American industry is heritage health care costs. If we had a health care delivery system that is equal to the worst delivery system of other industrial nations, it would save industry billions.

I spoke with a tolling motor manufacturers engineer a couple of years ago. They are a subsidiary or sister company to Zebco. I was told by the engineer that they moved their production facility from Tulsa to Mexico. Not because of lower labor costs, although that was certainly a consideration. But because of health care. They would RATHER have maintained production here....it actually costs less to make the motors here. Between productivity levels and less QA failures, they were able to produce MORE salable units with 20 people here than they could with 80 people in Mexico. But the health care costs, which is borne by the governments of EVERY industrialized nation except ours, were exceeding the employers share of income and SS taxes, doubling the administrative costs of labor. When they combined the savings in health care, plus the tax breaks they received from the Bush administration, they had no choice but to move.

You liberals need to figure out that the problem with health care is not who's paying for it, it's the amount that needs to be paid. You also need to figure out that the money needs to come from somewhere. A universal health care system is going to be paid by businesses and individuals, which is going to just push more companies overseas.

For Hillary and Barry to promise the goverment footing the bill without explaining how it will be funded and not addressing the reason the costs are high in the first place is irresponsible, dangerous, and just plain foolish - about what you would expect from those two. But, it sounds good on the surface and as long as nobody asks questions....

I like this comment....

'It makes no sense to reward millions of illegal immigrants for criminal behavior while our Social Security system is already in crisis,' said Sen. Jim DeMint, South Carolina Republican. 'Why in the world would we endorse this criminal activity with federal benefits? The Senate missed a big opportunity to improve this bill, and I doubt American seniors will be pleased with the result.'

WOW!! now LB is even bashing Bush......She claims not only is his price of war outta hand but look at what he has spent in the last 7 years on those pesky mexicans......Better watch it LB,many of the folks here do not take kindly to Bush bashing.....
