    How is it a land grab when the rancher/owner along with their ranch legal council makes a conscientious decision to enter into the agreement? Nobody is grabbing or taking..... such as Montana access groups attempt to do.

    Michigan State University has an excellent 2 year beef management program. I would encourage some type of higher education, sounds like he already has the hands on experience.

    There are generally ranches looking for help, just be honest about your experience. There are several other good suggestions here, other than going to the bar. Can take on 4H , attend cattle auctions to meet people, go to the Nile in Billings, take classes at community college, jobs at genetic...

    College???

    Get your college education, competing in the next 30 years will be much different than the past 30. You can never learn too much, or become over educated.
