1.6" here last night. just over 6" this month. heard of one tornado that touched down just west of camp crook, sounded like some property damage but no one was injured. getting the hay put up might be a battle this year, but there are worse problems to have. :wink:

roughly 70% done here at 22 days.

35 here this morning with a 30mph SE wind…was a little chilly tagging calves this am.

at about noon yesterday we were at just under 1.5 inches.

i hope we come up a little short.. it's sure wet around here now. a rain/snow mix started early sunday morning and lasted until last evening. had about 3" snow monday morning and a fresh inch yesterday morning. now we need some sun, we'll get that on thursday they say..

nice looking cattle OT. :) i put white tags in the heifers and yellow tags in the bull calves. i haven't screwed any up, yet. but i will before the last calf hits the ground :wink:

that all sounds better then looking for work, gcreek :wink: calving is just starting to roll along here, got about 40 on the ground.

possible 10 inches along with 30+mph winds, starting off as rain for sunday night and monday. thankfully we are not calving yet

i entertained an offer about a month ago but i couldn't pull the trigger.

i would say most ranches are overstocked, myself included. i don't know much else about the Marty ranch other than what i've stated on here but after hearing a little bit about their operation and seeing their entire cow herd….my hat is off to them. if i had the land base to run a similar...
