    Multimin question

We used multimin last spring on the ylg hfrs prior to AIing. Looks like it helped with conception, but we are not quite done getting AI calves from the hfrs yet so not sure on conception rate. Several people in this area that used it seemed to be positive on MM and plan on using it again. Had...

    Frozen Ears

I have probably missed this subject on here, but other than moving the calving season to April and May, what is everyone's secret weapon when it comes to saving ears on newborn calves during cold spells? Anyone tried the ear muffs and ear savers?

    Fence line weaning

Last year it was so wet and muddy that we tried fenceline weaning and it worked very well. We put up 5 new barbed wires (as tight as we could get them) on the fence between the cows and calves. We also ran a hotwire on both sides as well. Planning on doing the same again in a couple of weeks.

    ??????

anyone tried one of the vermeer tm 1200 or 1400 models yet? no conditioner on them so the hay is layed out fairly flat to cure. With no conditioner rollers to pull they take way less hp to operate. They sound interesting to me.

    tractor tires

don't have wheel weights, I agree that would be a good option. Just looking to see how many people run radials with fluid or how many people have heard that fluid defeats the purpose of a radial. Just a topic for discussion.

    tractor tires

I'm looking to put new rear tires on a tractor so I did some pricing around. Decided to go with a radial tire again and then the tire guy tells me I am better off using a bias tire if I'm gonna keep the fluid in the tire. He said the fluid doesn't allow the radial tire to flex and takes away...

    NASCAR, Homestead

Mother in law came to visit this evening, long story short the party is rather subdued. I don't care for the 18 either.

    NASCAR, Homestead

Let's face it folks, the 5,24,48 are running 1,2,3 in points, the forth team member just can't drive as well, or can't communicate what he needs to get the car better. As far as I am concerned it's all on Jr's shoulders. The 48 in the wall????? Don't let jealousy get to you like that. A...

    June 10 and 11, 2009

While wandering around the grounds in Bassett during the ranch expo I saw a woman that I just knew I should know but I couldn't place her. This happens to me all the time. After looking through your pictures it dawned on me it was Peach. I always enjoy looking at your pics.
