You can take it with you, sort of.

Transfer of Funds She sat serenly in the front pew, as the preacher rambled on. At her rich husband's funeral, he was gone and she'd carry on. Folks marveled at her composure, they saw she didn't shed a tear. They knew he was taking it with him...

    VETERANS DAY

I am an Army Vet. My service was a long time ago, during an uneasy time when there wasn't any active military action going on, but certainly a possibility.

Tell me about your day, mine went something like this........

Got some HUmor and satisfaction from your accident Soapweed, which sounds strange. The reason is that that is something I can see myself doing, like ramming the front end of the caking pickup into a balemover when the windshield was iced over. You are quite a bit younger than I am too. OLd...

What are some of your favorite ranch sounds?

Sounds of THe Sandhills The drumming hoof beat of horses, coming in to quench their thirst. Playful running, jumping, bucking, in a headlong race to be first The complaining creak of a windmill, awakened by a gentle breeze. The staccato, chain-saw droning of nectar seeking bees. The mournful...

    Satellite Internet

We have good service with Wild Blue. Have to scrape snow off the dish once in awhile, but doesn't bother as much as dish TV. If we have trouble a call to the company will usually take care of it, as they can usually talk us through it.

    roping a deer

My nephew roped an antelope out of a fence corner. He tied it with a piggin' string and put it in the pickup box, (don't know what he was planning on doing with it). The antelope kicked loose and bailed out.

    Favourite smell?

The bottom line is you fellows should know how many points you can get by helping fold the laundry and put it away. Those points can accumulate.

    Boy! Did I screw UP!

A Column There is a calamity that strikes abject terror into the hearts of cattlemen. People who raise cattle are subjected and conditioned to many adversities, from sickness and death in the herd, to drought, low return for cattle sold and high operating costs. But the most...
